A subtle elegance with vintage glassware...
If you don’t fancy going the whole vintage hog for your special occasion, have you ever thought about adding a vintage elegance with just the addition of beautiful vintage style glassware?
My husband and I were lucky enough to be invited to a wedding with just this ‘touch of vintage’ and the effect was stunning. We drank champagne out of beautiful champagne (or baby-cham as some ladies referred to them) saucers and red and white wine out of mismatched crystal wine glasses. I felt quite glamorous with my drink in my hand. All I needed was a long cigarette holder and a feather in my hair and I would have look like something out of The Great Gatsby.
It was soft, subtle and exquisite! We wish we had taken more pictures! It is what inspired us to grow our vintage glassware collection to cater for such elegance.
Here are a few images sourced from the Touch of Vintage Pinterest boards to inspire a vintage elegance themed special occasion.
PS. Did you know that giving dingy, old glassware (probably picked up in a charity shop or boot fair if you are like us) a half an hour soak in a mixture of baking soda, vinegar and washing up liquid, brings out an amazing shine. See below for more information....
