May the best parts of last year be the worst parts of next year.
As we head towards the New Year my father’s favorite saying in always:
‘May the best parts of last year be the worst parts of next year.’
Looking back over the last year, there have been so many ‘best parts’ for A Touch of Vintage. After years of hiring out our treasured vintage collection to friends of friend’s and friends of friends of friend’s, we officially launched in February 2017. Two days later Evelette Margaret Hunter Robinson / the little lady was born. Not the best timing for a launch but these things never quite go to plan.
A Touch of Vintage has gone from strength to strength over the past year proving (what we already knew) that our love of vintage is shared by many. We have helped bring a vintage touch to a host of beautiful events, from weddings and baby showers to christenings and milestone birthdays, and met some wonderful people along the way. A wonderful highlight for us was the last event of the year where our vintage china was used to help a lady celebrate her 100th birthday. It’s not every day you get a peek at a birthday card from the queen. What a treat.
Looking forward to next year, the diary is filling up and we have some highlights to really look forward too including the wedding of one of the ToV girls. Sonia is getting married to the lovely Chris. The wedding is festival themed with a slight rustic feel. And of course there will be some vintage touches. We can’t wait. We also have a whole list of new and exciting ideas we can’t wait to share with you so watch this space.
Our New Year’s resolution is to grow, grow, grow. We want to increase our local presence and work on building local partnerships with other local businesses around us. We want to increase awareness of our brand and what we do far and wide through our online platforms. We want to share more gorgeous photos of our collection and behind the scenes uncut, unedited, unfiltered view with our followers. And we want to help more wonderful, vintage loving people bring their ideas to reality. Its going to be an exciting year!
